Chef/Cook
Gosport & Stokes Bay Golf Club is a Private Members club with an impressive heritage dating back to 1885. We are seeking an experienced Chef/Cook to join our hospitality team.
THE ROLE:
To run our kitchen with prepping & cooking food for members and functions. Additional duties may include bar work during quieter months.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE RELEVANT TO THE ROLE:
• Enthusiastic chef/cook
• Attention to detail in order to deliver consistency across all dishes
• Create and implement menus that are appealing to members and customers
• Committed to driving high standards
• Highly organised and thrives being part of a team
• Positive outlook with a good degree of energy, resilience, and a flexible attitude
• Order all supplies cost effectively using nominated and approved suppliers
• Previous experience in a quality business
• Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in the kitchen
• Monitor stock levels avoiding unnecessary wastage and deterioration of foodstuffs, by storing them appropriately and maintaining accurate records
• Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations
• Full driving licence would be advantageous due to location
Job Type: Full time 35 hours a week, permanent. You will be working 5 out of 7 days (rota). To include evenings and weekends.
Salary: £21,000.00 per year
